It all began above a Melbourne city bike shop
We were first known as CWC Imports, a company that launched in 1987 off the back of Cecil Walker Cycles, Melbourne’s iconic city centre bike shop owned and run by the Cramer family. David Cramer began working above the shop, building BikeSportz from humble beginnings.
His goal was simple - to provide Australian bike dealers with outstanding customer service and premium-quality, reliable bike parts and accessories that would appeal to the local market and encourage its development. With his exceptional technical knowledge, first-hand understanding of cycling retail and discerning eye for high-end products, David soon found himself at the helm of a growing business. The appointment of David’s eldest son Shannon as General Manager rapidly propelled BikeSportz to further expansion. His arrival cemented the family’s next generation of cycling industry advocates and positive change-makers.
